The 14th Annual Seaside Half Marathon Weekend takes place on February 26th through 28th. On Friday, February 26th, this athletic weekend has a delicious beginning with the Taste of the Race event! What better motivation to run than an exquisite meal from Emeril Lagasse himself!
Taste of the Race will be held at the Seaside Lyceum under the big tent from 7-9pm with a VIP reception with Chef Emeril Lagasse from 6-7pm. The menu will include cuisine from two of Emeril’s famous restaurants as well dishes from some of the Gulf Coast’s top chefs. Restaurants such as Great Southern Café, The Bay, Stinky’s Fish Camp, Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q and Bud & Alley’s will be representing the area and serving up local favorites. Complimentary wine will be poured from Wine World, craft spirits from Buffalo Trace and craft beer from Grayton Beer will also be offered throughout the evening. Local musicians Masterpiece will perform live under the stars.
The VIP reception will feature Chef Emeril Lagasse, Chef Jim Shirley and Chef Jim Richard. All VIP guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and beverages, have a photo opportunity with Chef Emeril Lagasse and receive a special gift. Entrance into general admission will follow.
